Dr. Forest received his initial training in the Blair Technique from Dr. William G. Blair in 1978, four years after graduating from Palmer College. His father practiced Upper Cervical as does two of his brothers, so it was a natural course of action for him to seek out a refined method of detecting and correcting problems emanating for the upper neck region. After having studied virtually all of the Upper Cervical techniques, it was the Blair method, which is based on the premise that the human anatomy is not symmetrical, thus a procedure for viewing the individual joints for bony displacement made the most sense.

Dr. Forest had the privilege of training under the watchful eye of Dr. Weldon Muncy, Dr. Blair’s right hand man. After over ten years of working with Dr. Muncy, Dr. Forest embarked on instructing in the Blair Technique, having been certified in the Blair Primary on 10-23-93 and Blair Advanced on 6-17-95. Currently Dr. Forest has giving over 150 Blair seminars and at present instructs at Palmer College (since 1999) and Life West College (since 2008).

Dr. Forest has been a member of the Blair Chiropractic Society and a Board Member of the Society since its inception in 1987. He is currently the head of the Instruction and Technique Committee which is responsible for certifying doctors in both Proficiency and Instruction Certification for the Society. Dr. Forest has co-published a research paper Inter-and intraexaminer reliability of the Blairprotractoview method: examination of a chiropractic radiographic technique Journal of Chiropractic Medicine (2010) 9, 60-68 He presently authors a weekly Upper Cervical Newsletter, Upper Cervical stuff, in an attempt to bring cohesion with other Upper Cervical methods and practitioners so we can concentrate on our commonalities, which are many, and not our differences, which are few.

Dr. Forest feels that the potential for Upper Cervical chiropractic and the Blair Technique is limitless. His main desire is to represent the technique in a professional and quality manner as have his predecessors. If he reaches this goal, his chiropractic career should then be considered a success.
