What is ADD? 

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a neurological condition characterized by problems with focus, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. It is estimated that between 3 and 5 percent of school-aged children have ADD, and it is more common in boys than girls. Although the exact cause of ADD is unknown, a growing body of research suggests that there may be a link between ADD and vertebral misalignment in the upper cervical spine.

Signs and Symptoms of ADD

The symptoms of ADD can vary from person to person, but there are some common signs that are associated with the condition. These include a general difficulty with maintaining focus and concentration, impulsiveness, restlessness, and hyperactivity. Young children with ADD may also have trouble following long instructions, keeping track of time, and staying organized.

The connection between ADD and the upper cervical spine is based on the relationship between ADD and the central nervous system (CNS). Individuals with ADD typically suffer from irregular activity in the CNS. This irregularity can be the result of a number of factors, including chemical imbalances, genetic predisposition, and exposure to toxins. When the vertebrae in the upper cervical spine are out of alignment, they can put pressure on the brainstem and the spinal cord.
