Trauma, Fibromyalgia, And Specific Blair Upper Cervical

It has been our experience after 16 years and 9500 patients that most fibromyalgia sufferers have a trauma that predates the onset of their illness. In our Los Angeles Upper Cervical Health Care office we have taken care of and helped hunreds of fibromyalgia patients by correction of upper cervical spine injury.

One of our patients that suffered with chronic pain and fibromyalgia recalls being bucked off a donkey as the precipitating trauma that led to his fibromyalgia symptoms. While not all patients that suffer with fibromyalgia can link the cause to trauma many consider whiplash, sports trauma, and other accidents to be the onset of their condition.

Current Thoughts On Fibromyalgia And Genetics

Current researchers contend that fibromyalgia patients have a predisposing genetic factor that make them more susceptible to its development. Head and neck trauma may just be the triggers that bring the underlying genetic factors to surface. Many researchers believe that those that are predisposed may have developed the condition anyway. Later in this article we will talk about cases of fibromyalgia that recover through a natural health care procedure called upper cervical care that may be indicating that neck trauma and its correction are an underlying cause.

Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Fatigue, Always Tired

Even though researchers have linked fibromyalgia to trauma that affects the head and neck, other triggers have been proposed. Any type of stressful event can be a precipitating factor. Some cases of fibromyalgia have started following extreme emotional events, surgeries, and abuse.

Traumatic experiences that are correlated with fibromyalgia include:

· Emotional trauma.

· Chronic viral infections-EBV, Hepatitis.

· Sexual abuse in Childhood

· PTSD

Connecting Fibromyalgia Relief To Trauma

For some people, understanding the traumatic trigger can lead to hope of help the person suffering find a solution:

“I suffered for 2.5 years with a plethora of symptoms which I knew were coming from my neck. I used to have my father pull on my head while i was lying on my back. It was the only thing that gave me temporary relief from my fibromyalgia symptoms of, headache, neck, back and shoulder pain. While it was temporary I knew that something was wrong with my neck. I just didn’t know how to correct it. After 6 months and 15 thousand dollars of medical tests I was told it was all in my head. It was then I took my health into my own hands. I read book after book and eventually landed in an Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Office. I was skeptical and scared. But I had to try something different. After receiving a precise upper neck correction with no twisting, popping or pulling, my life started to change. It was then that I realized my fibromyalgia of 2.5 years started after a fall on my head.” Says Alex Crenshaw of Los Angeles. Alex’s story is not unique. Our Upper Cervical Chiropractic Office in Los Angeles has seen this same story with 10 different variations of trauma that pre-date the onset of the patients fibromyalgia.

Alex stepped foot in our office after talking to another patient while sitting in a rheumatologist office in Beverly Hills. Thankfully Alex listened and came to our office for a FREE CONSULTATION. Some of you that are reading are probably wondering what exactly is Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic and how can it help someone that is suffering with fibromyalgia. WE will explain.

What Is Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

Blair Chiropractors have a singular goal. To locate, analyze and correct any vertebra in the neck that is out of its normative range of motion at the joint level and causing irritation or interference to the central nervous system. Regardless of what disease, symptom or syndrome the patients has been diagnosed with in order to get well something must be done that increases the body’s own healing capacity.

Blair Doctors run objective tests to determine whether upper neck injury exists. Once it is determined that there is irritation to the central nerve system, joint x-rays are taken to determine their angulation and direction of misalignment. Once determined the information is then used to make a specific correction to the misaligned joint. Once corrected the central nerve system can function better increasing the body’s own healing potential. The patient is then monitored over time to determine whether correction is needed or not. The goal of Blair upper Cervical Care is for the patient to stay in alignment for as long as possible. It is while the patient is clear of central nervous system irritation that healing can occur. We will end this blog with our favorite quote that encapsulates the Blair doctors goal, “ Nature needs no help just no interference”. We hope this blog has been put in front of those who need it most. Healing can happen. Do NOT give up.

"Upper Cervical practitioners hypothesize based on their success in addressing many health conditions that the misalignment of the atlas is blocking communication to various parts of the body and thereby affecting the body’s own ability to correct the problem. “

About the Author

The Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Technique is a specific system of analyzing and adjusting the upper cervical vertebrae of the spinal column. These vertebrae can misalign in such a way as to interfere with the brainstem and spinal cord as they exit through the floor of the skull into the neural canal.
