Loss of Cervical Lordosis – Corrected after Upper Cervical Care Los Angeles visit.
The goal of Upper Cervical Care is to restore normal function to the body by removing impediments (subluxations) to the normal spine curves from the brain to body communication. Often times patients come to our offices with a variety of symptoms and diseases. We Do NOT treat disease, however, a host of conditions can resolve after removing interference to the nerve system.
Not only do a variety of conditions resolve when patients undergo care, but they also can have dramatic changes in the structure of their spines. In our office, we take a pre and post cervical spine x-ray to monitor any changes that take place structurally after receiving care.
Normal balanced muscle tone through the spine is a function of a normal neurological function. When the atlas(c-1) is subluxated(out of its normal position causing neurological interference) the body adapts structurally to minimize the amount of interference to the system.
Most structural problems through the spine are nothing more than adaptations to this upper cervical problem. In our office, we find approximately fifty percent of our new patients have lost their normal lordosis(curvature) in the spine. Below are a few x-rays that have been taken in the past week.
The post-x-ray demonstrates how the normal lordotic curve in the neck can sometimes be restored through Upper Cervical Care! Research has shown when the Upper Cervical Spine loses its normal curve (lordosis) it puts stress and strain on the spinal cord.
These stresses decrease CSF flow(1), decrease blood flow to the cerebral hemispheres, and can be related to Headaches, Parkinson’s Disease, neck pain, Meniere’s disease, Vertigo and other chronic conditions whose cause is not known.
