Chiropractor Of The Year Dr. Charmaine Herman


Dr. Charmaine A. Herman, a 2009 Sherman College of Chiropractic alumna, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Chiropractic Division of Clinical Sciences at Life University in Marietta, GA. In 2013 she and her husband opened Agape Upper Cervical Health Center, Inc. in Alpharetta, GA where she practices part-time. Dr. Herman has been teaching history and science at colleges for 14 years. She began teaching at Life Univeristy in 2009 in the General Sciences and Natural Sciences Departments of the College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies as an adjunct. After obtaining her Blair Faculty Instructor certification in 2013, Dr. Herman was promoted to full-time faculty and began teaching various clinical labs in the College of Chiropractic. She made it her mission to develop a Blair UC technique elective at Life. This dream came to fruition in January 2016 when the Blair Condylar Misalignment and Analysis (ANLS 5802) elective was offered and 11 students enrolled. Currently she has taught this elective for three quarters, along with other primary and intermediate Blair seminars. She is also the advisor for the new Blair UC technique club that started at Life Univeristy summer 2016.

In 2015 and 2016 Dr. Herman was a recipient of the Life University Faculty Research Award for presenting the Blair UC work at both the American Chiropractic Association Research Agenda Conference (ACC-RAC) and the International Research and Philosophy Symposium (IRAPS) each year. She also published Blair UC case reports in scholarly chiropractic research journals in 2015 and 2016. This work in research opened the door for Dr. Herman to teach a continuing education course about the Blair UC technique at Sherman College of Chiropractic Lyceum in April 2016 and to win an additional research presentation award at Life University Fall CE in 2015.

Dr. Herman is a member, the Georgia Chiropractic Association (GCA), International Chiropractic Association (ICA), and the Christian Chiropractic Association (CCA). In her personal life, she holds ministry leadership positions as First Lady, Prophetess, and Praise & Worship leader at AbundantLife International (ALife) - Atlanta in Alpharetta where her husband of ten amazing years, Stephen E. Herman, is the Pastor. Dr. Herman gives all glory and appreciation for her achievements to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ coupled with the wonderful support of her husband and family.
