Whiplash injuries could have long-term consequences -migraines and vertigo to name a couple. One study that included 300 patients helped reveal a connection between whiplash injuries and various health ailments.

The Outcome of the Analysis:
Every participant in the study had suffered whiplash because of a vehicle crash or other head injury.

The whiplash-induced vertigo was rated at a mean severity of 8.5 out of 10 from the 300 participants in the analysis. After only 6 weeks of upper cervical chiropractic care, this figure was reduced to 3 from 8.5. Within 3 months, vertigo intensity was less than 1 out of 10. These outstanding results reveal the advantages that may come from upper cervical chiropractic care.

Because of this, the investigators advised that vertigo patients who suffered injury to the neck or head seek care from an upper cervical chiropractor.

Needless to say, you don't need to wait 10 or 15 years for symptoms like vertigo, migraines or others to show up before you seek care. If you've experienced a whiplash-type accident, then you should have your neck analyzed by an upper cervical chiropractor immediately to check for any structural misalignments and have them addressed before they result in long-term health issues.

After all, nobody needs his neck "cracked  popped or twisted" following an accident. But, Upper Cervical Health Care is extremely different from overall chiropractic due to the gentle corrections that cause no further trauma to the neck. Gentle adjustments typically hold in place longer and give your body time to heal.

The Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Technique is a specific system of analyzing and adjusting the upper cervical vertebrae of the spinal column. These vertebrae can misalign in such a way as to interfere with the brainstem and spinal cord as they exit through the floor of the skull into the neural canal.
